Errore numero Quindici: C'era - Era

A strong tendency, particularly at beginners level, to mix these two words: C’ERA and ERA

Example:

C’era una casa sulla collina

There was a house on the hill

Some students will wrongly translate such a sentence as follows, giving it a completely different meaning:

Era una casa sulla collina

It was a house on the hill
